Welcome

The Society of Construction Arbitrators is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in Construction Dispute Resolution.

Membership is limited to 40 members; 10 practising in each of the fields of Architecture, Engineering, Quantity Surveying and the Law.

The Society's Supporting Members include adjudicators, mediators and other dispute resolvers as well as solicitors and barristers experienced in the field of construction disputes.

The Society aims to promote best practice in Construction Arbitration and other dispute resolution techniques by liaison with Government, the Judiciary, the legal profession and users.

As a part of its mission to encourage best practice in Construction Arbitration the Society has promoted the Construction Industry Model Arbitration Rules - CIMAR.

HAROLD CROWTER
The Society lost one of its most active and distinguished members on 2 November 2007 when Harold Crowter passed away. Harold was a Quantity Surveyor of huge renown and a highly respected arbitrator. He had recently retired as Hon Secretary of the Society.
