Peter Scott Caldwell

Peter Scott Caldwell was born in Scotland but has lived in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. He has been based in Hong Kong for many years.
Peter has been appointed as arbitrator, mediator, dispute board member and adjudicator on a wide variety of disputes or projects involving parties from around the world.
He is a Chartered Engineer with many years’ experience in managing major civil engineering works. He is also a Chartered Arbitrator and accredited mediator.
Peter was a member of the working party which drafted the first edition of the "IBA Rules for the Taking of Evidence in International Commercial Arbitration".
He is a former Secretary-General of Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, a past Chair of the Hong Kong Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (renamed the East Asia Branch) and is also a founder member and past Chair of the Society of Construction Law Hong Kong.
