Appointed sole arbitrator and adjudicator in circa 450 domestic and international construction disputes principally relating to contractual, valuation and programming disputes. Also acts internationally as tribunal member and is currently (2011) chairing a three-man Tribunal in Dubai. Has carried out contractual adjudications in overseas jurisdictions.
Appointed as Arbitrator in 30+ disputes in professional negligence matters and in numerous documents only consumer arbitrations. CIArb Appeal Arbitrator.
Experience of Main, Sub and Sub-sub Contracts in connection with building, civil engineering and mechanical and electrical services on the JCT, NEC, ICE, IChemE and other standard forms and many ad hoc forms of UK construction contract. Experience of the UNCITRAL Model Law and the Arbitration Rules of UNCITRAL, DIAC and the LCIA.
Sums in dispute have ranged from £5,000 to in excess of £60 million (370 million Dirhams).
